Steps to an honest look

Not another quiz.
An assessment that means something.

Online quizzes throw a percentage or a medal at you. DriverRank does three things a quiz does not.

Adaptive

A test fitted to your driving.

Commuters get city-traffic and hazard-perception items. Track-day drivers get braking points and apexes. Sim racers get iRacing and ACC references. Every question you see is meaningful for you.

Anchored

T1–T8 tied to real programmes.

Tier boundaries are not invented. They map to IAM, Roadcraft, ADAC Dynamik, ÖAMTC Sport, Slovakia Ring CBJ and the FIA Driver Categorisation. Your tier is verifiable in the real world.

Honest

Shows the gap between expectation and reality.

Before the test you rate yourself. After the test you see the gap — whether you over-estimated, under-estimated, or were spot on. This goes nowhere. It is for you.

Four steps.
Your result right away.

Take it at your pace — pause whenever you like. Your answers save automatically.

Your result

Tier grid, brief description, calibration signal. Your result stays yours — forever.

Instantly

Built on methodologies that teach the pros.

DriverRank is not a weekend write-up. Questions and tier boundaries draw on international programmes and academic frameworks that shape today's instructors.

No magic algorithm, no AI-scoring black boxes — everything is transparent and traceable.

Honesty over marketing And still — no test tells you everything. Your tier is a strong orientation, not a final verdict. A mirror, not a diagnosis.
  • Roadcraft British instructor methodology for defensive driving and hazard perception (IPSGA).
  • GDE Matrix Goals for Driver Education — a European academic framework of four levels of driver competence.
  • FIA Categorisation Bronze / Silver / Gold / Platinum scale of the international motoring federation.
  • ADAC + ÖAMTC + Slovakia Ring Safety and sport driving courses — our tiers 4–8 align with them directly.

Who this is not for.

DriverRank is not a test that confirms you are a good driver. If you want a medal, look elsewhere. But if you care where you really are — and how far you are off your own estimate — this is for you.

"The best drivers know how much they still don't know. The worst think they already know everything."

— a rule the test respects

Questions that make sense.

Is it really free?

Tier grid, description and calibration signal — always free. A full report (€9.99) with detailed analysis and a training plan is coming. The free version stays free, forever.

Do I need to register?

No. You can take the test fully anonymous — no email, no account. You only need an account to compare your result in 6 months or get it as a PDF.

What is the "calibration signal"?

Before the test you rate yourself — what you think you have. After the test you see the gap between that and the measurement. This number does not enter your score; it serves you alone as self-reflection. It is what sets us apart from quizzes.

How long does the test take?

On average ~20 minutes, but it depends on your experience profile — the adaptive test gives you as many questions as it needs to place you precisely. A track-day enthusiast with a full profile gets more, an everyday driver fewer.

Who is behind the project?

An independent project built on publicly available methodologies (Roadcraft, GDE, FIA, ADAC). Not sponsored by any driving school or insurer. Questions are peer-reviewed by instructors from SK and CZ.
